Anuual Student/Alumni Picnic
set for
Saturday, April 26th!
Calling All Alumni- Family- Friends:
Join us April 26th at Rotary Park for the 39th Annual ASI Picnic Celebration. This will be a great afternoon of fun, food and fellowship.
We will kick off the day with the traditional Alumni vs Students flag football game guaranteed to bring smiles and laughter to everyone. Even if you don't plan to play be sure to bring your chair and support the alumni group and show your true Buccaneer spirit! Stick around after the game for the picnic style buffet dinner catered by Firehouse. It's definitely one of the best barbeque places to eat in Johnson City so make sure you bring your appetites and get ready for a great meal!
This is also a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new contacts in the industry. Don't forget as Alumni, you get to take part in the judging of the annual Tommy Awards. After seeing last year ' s entries, I am sure the students will not disappoint. They sure have come a long way from when we were in the broadcasting program.
Finally as Alumni, this picnic will allow the always eager broadcasting students to learn how your days at ETSU helped you excel in the wonderful world of broadcasting. Come share your experiences and pass out those business cards. (We ALL like to share those with the masses). You can also use this time to discuss with your former professors how your life has changed since your graduation and what influences they may have had in your lives.
Don't forget to bring your family to the picnic. It ' s always fun to see your off-spring(s) or who you ended up hitched to! This really is an exciting time to re-connect and show your gratitude for the wonderful program ETSU has to offer.
So come show your BUC pride and represent that true alumni support.
