RTVF's newly renovated facilities include a 15-station Digital Editing Lab with Final Cut Pro, ProTools, and Avid software, and an HD-TV Studio and Control Room. Shared storage via the Edit Share allows communication between these facilities and mimics the work flow of facilities in the industry.
The Digital Editing Lab (Warf Pickel 103) is available to students in select Mass Comm classes when not being used by classes.
The hours for the edit lab for the Spring 2013 semester are as follows:
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY: NOON-4:00PM
EDIT LAB CLEANING: 6:00PM-6: 30PM MONDAY-THURSDAY
Students enrolled in RTVF classes are assigned a partition on Edit Share, shared storage. For help with Edit Share including an FAQ, consult, Introduction to the Edit Share. For help getting started in Final Cut Pro (using HD settings), consult FCP Help Sheets.
Post-Production Workshops: Free Workshops for Communication Students
Post-Production Workshops support the learning of enrolled students and allow all students, faculty and staff in the Department of Communication an opportunity to develop their technical skills. The workshops are held on Friday afternoons.
