I am sure that there are 10,000 variations...
The Stuff That Goes in It
asparagus, cooked
tuna, cooked and sliced
sardines
artichoke hearts, marinated or not
boiled eggs
boiled or grilled shrimp
mushrooms, marinated
sliced mozzarella
salami, proscuitto, mortadella, and other Italian meats
olives
veggies, if you want, like slices of grilled radiccio, sliced tomatoes
olive oil, salt, and pepper
What to do:
Put it all on a nice, big platter and put a little olive oil on it. And eat it.
Footnote:
Put whatever you want on it, basically.
