the novice, that is easy to navigate. Contains a timeline, articles about
people involved, major battles and an overview of the causes of the War
of 1812. Please note the site does make use of wav files.

site includes tribal rolls and census data, letters, government records,
and other relevant information. The letters and treaties selections are

Lewis and Clark
Expedition,

Ken Burns, on the Lewis and Clark expedition. One section of the
extensive site explores the political and cultural context of the
expedition, with profiles of the Corps of Discovery (members of the
expedition) and of the Indian tribes they encountered. Audio files of
scholars debating important aspects of the expedition and the excerpts
from the expedition journals are available. Also, a
choose-your-own-adventure game of the Lewis and Clark expedition puts the

"Fort McHenryNational Monument and Historic Shrine"
An interesting site about
the "star fort design" and the history of Fort McHenry in particular. The
site also contains a 12 part teacher supplement to aid in the teaching
about the history of the Fort. The website is for a general audience and
is easy to navigate, with reliable information from the the federal
government.
