In recognition of its nine local
microbreweries--all in the downtown area, Asheville has been
named
"Beer City, USA."
Join us for the first-ever, hopefully annual, South
Central Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies Brews Cruise. This
tasty tour of three microbreweries--all in downtown
Asheville--will be held on Wednesday afternoon. The focus
will be on the brew, but our knowledgeable guides will also lead
us on a tour of the breweries, discuss the brew-making process,
and answer our questions along the way. Our special SCSECS
Asheville Brews Cruise tour guide will pick us up at the Grove
Park Inn and, after our cruise, will return us to the
hotel. No driving involed; no taxis needed.

event is scheduled prior to the official opening of the
