1. It will create a community of learning that advances effective and innovative pedagogy and curricular development

2. It will, through a partnership with the ETSU office of Sponsored Programs, provide a locus for Faculty Fellows from various disciplines to pursue extramural support for cutting-edge approaches to math and science education

3. It will support applied research initiatives that assess, evaluate, and explore implications for math and science curricula and pedagogies being employed in countries around the world
