Financial Support
Several scholarships are available for undergraduate students majoring in mathematics.  Details of the scholarships are given below.

Rex Denwil Depew Memorial Scholarship: (at most one scholarship awarded)

• Math major

• Demonstrates intent to pursue career in teaching

• Documented financial need

• Apply to: Chair, Department of Mathematics, 312 Gilbreath Hall

• Application deadline: April 1

Faber-Neal Scholarship Endowment: (at most one scholarship awarded)

 • Sophomore

 • Math major

 • Demonstrates commitment to a successful career in the field of Mathematics

 • Documented financial need

 • Apply to:  Chair, Department of Mathematics, 312 Gilbreath Hall

 • Application deadline:  April 1

Jeffrey Lynn Hightower Memorial Scholarship Endowment: (at most one scholarship awarded)

 • Undergraduate

 • Math major

 • Minimum GPA – 3.25

 • Apply to:  Chair, Department of Mathematics, 312 Gilbreath Hall

 • Application deadline:  April 1

Otis A. Peeler Scholarship Endowment: (at most one scholarship awarded)

 • Rising junior

 • Math major (if no math majors qualify, computer science majors shall be eligible)

 • Minimum GPA – 2.7

 • Preference given to African-Americans and other historically underrepresented populations

 • Apply to:  Chair, Department of Mathematics, 312 Gilbreath Hall

 • Application deadline:  April 1

Edward L. Stanley Scholarship Endowment: (at most three scholarship awarded)

 • Incoming freshmen

 • Demonstrates intent to major in mathematics

 • Minimum high school GPA – 3.2

 • Minimum composite ACT score – 25

 • Renewable at discretion of selection committee if student maintains minimum GPA –3.2

 • Application deadline:  April 1

Charles F. Wilkey Mathematics Scholarship Endowment: (at most four scholarship awarded)

 • Junior and higher

 • Demonstrates dedication and devotion to the field of mathematics

 • Minimum GPA – 3.5

 • Application deadline:  April 1

Wilson-Hartsell Scholarship Endowment: (at most one scholarship awarded)
