Fast Company co-founder, innovator Bill Taylor visits C+M

JOHNSON CITY (Oct. 5, 2016) – Fast Company co-founder Bill Taylor visited the East Tennessee State University campus on Wednesday, Oct. 12, to speak about innovation, careers, professional development and the changing media landscape.

As a graduate of Princeton University and the MIT Sloan School of Management, Taylor has a history of chronicling the best way to compete, innovate and succeed.  He was named Champion of Workplace Learning and Performance by the American Society of Training and Development.  He has published numerous essays in the Harvard Business Review and had a regular column in the Sunday Business section of the New York Times.

Fast Company is a world-renowned publication on innovation and business that has won countless awards, including “Startup of the Year” and “Magazine of the Year” honors.  The publication “inspires readers and users to think beyond traditional boundaries, lead conversations and create the future of business.”

Taylor is promoting his new book, “Simply Brilliant,” which was released in September by Penguin Random House.  The book focuses on “game-changing innovations and high-powered success stories” and features a chapter on Pal’s Sudden Service.  Pal’s Sudden Service is one of a handful of global companies highlighted in this new book.

Taylor’s appearance is co-sponsored by University Career Services and the Department of Media and Communication at ETSU, along with Creative Energy, Pal’s Sudden Service and the Strategic Media Club.  Parking passes will not be needed to attend this event.
