The Department of Media and Communication provide students with state-of-the-art equipment and production facilities. Our applied learning environments include computer classrooms/lab areas, professional meeting and team resource spaces, audio production studios, a student-run radio station, and one fully HD television studio as well as a surround sound mastering suite. Our supportive staff is student-focused and industry-grown. As a member of our department you have access to thousands of gear to make your creations come to life. We focus on making communication and content real.
We have over a thousand pieces of gear from DSLRs and 4k cameras to light kits to highend audio field kits - we have what you need to do the work. Our dedicated professional staff is ready to meet your production needs.
Gear checkout proceedure:
Equipment is always due back a day after it is checked out by 10:00 a.m. Late returns will merit a late fee of $50.00 per day.

Open Digital Editing Lab
Computer LabsThe Digital Editing Lab/Classroom (Warf-Pickel 103) is available primarily for video production students. Since it serves a dual purpose open access is only allowed at scheduled times. This lab is the primary audio and video editing lab for using Avid Media Composer, Adobe Creative Cloud and ProTools.

Post-Production Workshops: Free Workshops for Media and Communication Students
Post-production workshops support the learning of enrolled students and allow all students, faculty and staff in the Department of Media and Communication an opportunity to develop their technical skills.
