Welcome New Students!

Any student seeking to MAJOR or MINOR in music at ETSU must complete the following steps.

Any student who will not be majoring in music, but intends to audition for a music scholarship, must follow the SAME process:

1. Apply for general admission to the university. Information on applying to ETSU can be found at:

Apply to East Tennessee State University

2. Once you have been accepted to the university at large, you must audition for the Department of Music. Please select the performance area below for which you intend to audition. The link will take you to instructions on how to schedule an audition and what is required. If you wish to audition for more than one area, you must complete a separate audition for each.
