Department of Political Science: Scholarships
The Clive W. and Esther W. Bare Scholarship

This is an endowed scholarship which may be awarded to an upper class political science major with financial need. The amount and number of such awards will be determined by the faculty.
The Southern Dames Scholarship

This non-endowed scholarship is awarded by the faculty to a senior political science major who has achieved excellence in his or her academic work. More than one award may be made depending on the availability of scholarship
The John W. Burgess Award
The Burgess award is sponsored by the Tennessee Political Science Association and is awarded every year to the Outstanding Political Science Student selected by the faculty. The award includes a modest honorarium

The Dr. Michael and Nina Marchioni MPA Graduate Scholarship Endowment

This is an endowment established by Dr. Michael and Nina Marchioni to provide scholarship assistance to deserving graduate students enrolled in the Department of Political Science at ETSU.  To qualify for the scholarship, each applicant must meet the following criteria:
1.  be enrolled as a Master of Public Administration (MPA) graduate student in the Department of Political Science with a concentration in Planning;
2.  demonstrate professional promise and commitment in the field of Public Administration; and
3.  have financial need.
Applications should be submitted to the Department of Political Science by March 1 of each year.
