CURRENT RESEARCH
I am currently writing a book with my colleague Ken
Mijeski about the ups and downs of the indigenous movement in
Ecuador over the past 20 years. The book focuses on the
Pachakutik political movement, which was an outgrowth of the
success of the main indigenous social movement
organization. Related to that, I am also analyzing
survey data on attitudes and beliefs concerning race,
prejudice, discrimination and stereotypes in Ecuador.
