A student majoring in Anthropology must complete 33 credit hours of approved courses. In addition to maintaining an overall grade point average of at least 2.0 in the major, a student must earn a grade of "C" or above in each required course in the major. Students are strongly advised to complete ANTH 1240, ANTH 1260 and ANTH 1280 before enrolling in other required or elective anthropology courses.

The B.A. degree in the College of Arts and Sciences involves the following requirements (refer to catalogue for more information):

    • Foreign Language (through level 2020)
    • 1 course non-US history (3 credit hours)
    • MATH 1530, 1840 or 1910
