Jeanna Brooksbank Steele, MA Fall 2006
After graduating from ETSU with an MA in sociology, Jeanna worked for a non-profit Community Action Agency, Rural Areas Development Association, Inc. (RADA). She worked as the Program Developer and Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Case Manager for over two years. As the Program Developer, she established and maintained grant funding for the agency as well as created new programs and services. As the WIA Case Manager, she provided case management for individuals enrolled in post secondary education or seeking employment. After two plus years with RADA, she relocated to Columbia, South Carolina and was hired as the Career Services Case Manager for Supportive Housing Services with the University of South Carolina College of Medicine. She provides case management for individuals who are seeking full time employment with health coverage or are pursing educational goals.
Bobby Jo Otto, MA Spring 2006
Bobby Jo Otto, a 2006 graduate, is currently working at Schapiro Group, an Atlanta-based research firm. She is also working on her PhD at Georgia State University with an emphasis in race and urban studies. While she is currently working on her degree on a part-time basis, she will be attending GSU on a full-time basis starting in the Spring of 2010.
