A joint undergraduate scholarship of the ETSU Departments of Mathematics & Biological Sciences and Institute for Quantitative Biology (IQB).
Funded by the National Science Foundation by a
5-year, $1 million
STEP
grant awarded to ETSU.
Thee Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics Talent Expansion Program (STEP) seeks to increase the
number of students (U.S. citizens or permanent residents) receiving
associate or baccalaureate degree in established or emerging fields
within science, technology, engineering, & mathematics.
Purpose of the ETSU TEQB Program:
To provide a research-intensive curriculum in quantitative biology
for a total of 4 cohorts of talented undergraduate students who
have the potential to develop a successful academic career in the
confluence of mathematical, biological & computing sciences.
The program includes undergraduate research scholarship.
