Studio 205
This newly renovated 1275 sq. ft. Performance Lab is located in Campus Center Building on the main campus across from the Bud Frank Theatre. It is a dedicated space for Department of Theatre and Dance classes and related activities. As a multimedia smart classroom, it is fully supported with academic technology: computer, high-definition projector, DVD/VHS, document camera, Wimba conferencing (camera and microphones) and wireless internet access. When not in use for Department of Theatre and Dance classes, meetings, or rehearsals, the Performance Lab is available to Theatre and Dance students for class projects and Patchwork Player's productions.
The space is furnished with new folding tables and stack chairs that can be removed for performance based classes. The performance lab has a 3/8" thick Harlequin Allegro Dance Floor. There is a pipe grid on 4' centers 12 feet above the floor that is home to 28 new LED fixtures that enable that enable the space to serve as both a lighting laboratory for technology classes and as an experimental theatre.
