The cooking class developed out of the Industrial Arts Department in 1911. It
quickly became known as Domestic Science, which in turn divided into two subdepartments:
Domestic Science (cooking) and Domestic Arts (sewing and home decoration). By
1916 both were called Home Economics, which had become a well-established department
of the Normal School, with an impressive curriculum.

conversions of measuring, analyses of food and condiments, and a complete set
