BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Clinton Price Moody was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1933. According to the 1981-82 East Tennessee State University catalog Moody received his bachelor of science degree from Livingston University, Livingston, Alabama in 1953; his masters of education degree from the University of South Carolina at Columbia in 1959; and his doctor of philosophy degree from Sarasota University, Sarasota, Florida in 1971. He served in the Korean War, and, prior to coming to ETSU in 1970, served as the chair of the art department of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina.

He was a recognized illustrator and cartoonist for athletic program covers. During the 1970s, Moody drew many of the covers for ETSU football game programs. Moody was a member of the East Tennessee Education Association and Phi Delta Kappa. He died in Johnson City, Tennessee on March 24, 1982.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The collection consists of seven ETSU Football game program covers. The collection is organized into one series, Football Game Program Covers, 1978. The items are arranged chronologically by date of the program cover. Items are stored in an oversized folder in the map cabinets according to accession number.
