HISTORICAL NOTE
The Office of Outcomes Assessment was established in 1994 with Cynthia Burnley as the first director. The office, under the Office of Academic Affairs, is charged with collecting and processing program reviews and self-studies of the various academic departments at ETSU to insure compliance with requirements from such accrediting agencies as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE
The Office of Outcomes Assessment records document the activities of that university office in conducting program reviews of various academic departments at ETSU. The material covers reviews done in 1998-1999 through 2000-2001 academic years for the following offices or departments: Bachelor of General Studies, Communicative Disorders, Counseling, Criminal Justice and Criminology, Mathematics, and Physical Education, Exercise, and Sport Sciences Sociology and Anthropology, and Technology. The collection is arranged in one series of subject files alphabetically by department name.
