This series includes the association's constitution, by-laws and amendments, charter of incorporation, code of ethics and aims and objectives. Documents have been placed in one folder and arranged chronologically by date of each document.
This series includes correspondence between the Executive Secretary and E.T.E.A. officials, department heads, state and national officials, and speakers for the annual meetings. Most of the correspondence is primarily concerned with the planning of the general sessions and departmental programs for the annual meetings. There are included, however, important topics such as discrimination, education themes for annual meetings, facilities for annual meetings, selection of outstanding speakers, federal aid to education, interference of the Tennessee Education Association (T.E.A.) into E.T.E.A. policies and governance, and exhibits. The correspondence for the fiftieth anniversary year, 1954, is sparse and the whereabouts of the missing documents is unknown. The arrangement of the series is chronological by date of correspondence.
This series includes the Executive Committee and annual meeting minutes. Executive Committee minutes have been placed first, followed by annual meeting minutes. Within each group documents are arranged chronologically.
* Also see Series III in the collection addition.
This series includes the financial reports of Executive Secretary (prior to 1939 known as Secretary) and Treasurer. This series is organized chronologically by date of the reports.
This series includes yearly lists of the association's general and departmental officers, program reports of departments, 1961 program survey, reports of committees, membership lists, resolutions and speakers' information. The association's growth, emphasis on educational objectives and direction are delineated in this series. The series is divided into four subseries: Subseries V-A, Departmental Officers and Chairmen, and Departmental Program Reports, 1944-1975, Boxes 32-33; Subseries V-B, Committee Reports, 1928-1975, Boxes 34-37; Subseries V-C, Resolutions, 1924-1939, Box 37; and Subseries V-D, Speakers Information, 1946-1975, Boxes 37-38.
*Also see Series V in the collection addition.
Subseries V-A, DEPARTMENTAL OFFICERS AND CHAIRMEN AND DEPARTMENTAL PROGRAM REPORTS, 1944-1975, Boxes 32-33.

Subseries V-B, COMMITTEE REPORTS, 1928-1975, Boxes 34-37.
This subseries includes reports of election, exhibits, legislation, membership and registration, and research committees. The reports are arranged alphabetically by name of committee and then chronologically.
