BIGRAPHICAL NOTE

Quentin Marsden Alexander (b. 1934) is a native of Hamilton County, Tennessee, and a genealogical researcher residing in Danville, California.

 

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The Quentin M. Alexander Collection consists of photocopies of lineage charts, family group records, census extracts, research notes, and pages from published genealogical reference works. The collection documents several generations of the Shipley, Simerly (Zimmerle), and Alexander families in Maryland, Virginia, and Tennessee during the eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth centuries. With the exception of one photocopy, dated 1992, all the photocopies are undated.

Organization: The collection is arranged alphabetically by family name in a single series.
