BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

Born W. J. Bethancourt, III, on August 8, 1946, Joe Bethancourt is a third generation Arizonian and a banjoist and guitarist, who records for White Tree Productions in Phoenix, Arizona.

SCOPE AND CONTENT

The Joe Bethancourt Collection documents the musical career of Joe Bethancourt, "The Carolina Banjo Picker." The collection consists of a 3.5-inch computer diskette containing promotional information, three publicity photographs, and three audiotape recordings published by White Tree Productions, Phoenix, Arizona, in 1994 and 1995.
