boxes 1-558.
Series XIV consists of maps, plans, blue prints, and technical drawings of
the Carolina Clinchfield and Ohio Railway Engineering Department. The maps and
drawings detail railroad projects concerning the line's right of way, highway
crossings and bridges, rail yards and stations, and industrial and community
development. The materials are arranged according to the alpha-numeric codes
assigned by the Engineering Department. Maps and drawings without the alpha-numeric
description are placed at the end of the numbered documents and are arranged
alphabetically by title or geographic location. For the coded maps, the Engineering
Department assigned alphabet letter indicating the type of drawing or special
project followed by the individual project number. The alphabetic code categories
are as follows:

K - Kingsport Development Company
M - Masonry drawings
P - Profile maps
W - Right of Way drawings
X - Miscellaneous drawings
