George Evan Davis Collection, acc.90, APA 472

This undated photograph from the Davis collection shows the stacks of lumber after they came from the sawmill. Notice the height of the stacks, the tilt of the lumber (for drying purposes), and the proximity of the stacks to the railroad lines (three in all, two on the left and one on the right). Each stack of lumber was of a different type, size, and grade.
