This
undated photograph from the Davis collection shows the stacks of lumber after
they came from the sawmill. Notice the height of the stacks, the tilt of the
lumber (for drying purposes), and the proximity of the stacks to the railroad
lines (three in all, two on the left and one on the right). Each stack of lumber
was of a different type, size, and grade.
