This
undated photograph from the Davis collection shows a forest with company tracks
running through it. If you look closely enough, you will notice that the tracks
are made entirely of wood; it was quicker and cheaper to build the tracks out
of wood, and after the company was finished with the area, it was also possible
to remove the tracks and put them in a new place when more forestland was acquired.
