James
T. Dowdy, Sr. Photographs, acc.107, APA 801
This
undated photograph from the Dowdy photographs shows the ET&WNC Engine #12
at the Harris Lumber Company at Sell's Crossing, North Carolina. This engine
was used to transport lumber from lumber companies either to buyers or to a
junction where the lumber would be transferred to another railroad line. Right
now, there is only one car attached to the engine; in normal situations, the
engine would carry several more cars loaded with lumber.
