This
photograph taken in 1929 shows the entire horse team at Big Branch Camp and
the crew of teamsters that drove them. Behind the horses is the stable that
housed them when not at work. You can see that the structure, like the other
buildings in the camp, has been placed on stands, and has the same walkway that
the boarding houses have outside the structures. If you look closely underneath
the stable, you can see the railroad ties. Also note that there are two horses
for every driver.
