photograph shows the sawmill yard in Cranberry, North Carolina, a small community
on the ET&WNC railway line near Roan Mountain. The lumber from this sawmill
was shipped in both directins on the railway: west, to high point and other
places in North Carolina for the production of hardwood furniture; and east
to Johnson City, Tennessee, where it was shipped on other lines to other places
in the country for manufacturing.
