Collections
The Archives of Appalachia collects and preserves records documenting the rich cultural, economic, historic, political, and social life in southern Appalachia. The three major collecting areas below contain approximately 9,000 books, 700 collections, a quarter-million photographs, 28,000 sound recordings, and 6,000 moving-image forms.
