Special Collections

SpCo Special Collections is a permanent collection of books and other printed materials that support research on southern Appalachia. The nearly 10,000 titles include contemporary and out-of-print works, with special emphasis on regional history, social reform, economic development, and folklife. Also included are works on the environment, politics, religion, and literature.

A sampling of titles by topic can be found at the end of each of our subject guides to Appalachian Collections.
