ETSU’s Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music program has several alumni that have gone on and had success in the music business.  The most notable is country music superstar Kenny Cheseney.  Other notable alumni include Tim Stafford (Blue Highway), Barry Bales (Allison Krauss and Union Station), Adam Steffey (Mountain Heart), Hunter Barry (Rhonda Vincent and the Rage). 

Some of our most recent alumni were winners at this year’s I.B.M.A. award show.  The album, “Daughters of Bluegrass” won recording event of the year. Angela Oudean (Bearfoot), Megan McCormick (Missy Rains Band), Beth Lawrence, and Becky Buller were all ETSU alumni involved with the record.  We here at the ETSU Bluegrass, Old Time, and Country Music program is proud of all our alumni and their accomplishments.
