Astronomy

The Astronomy section explores the connections between astronomy and historical cultures in the Appalachian region through hands-on experiences at the Harry Powell Observatory and the ETSU Planetarium.

This unit will focus on two areas of astronomy related to heritage: an introduction to historical astronomy and early cosmic models; and an investigation of the observed motions of celestial objects and Earth-related motions.
