Governor's School for the Scientific Exploration of Tennessee Heritage

If you are a gifted and talented rising junior or senior from a Tennessee high school and you are interested in astronomy, paleontology, archaeology, and historic preservation, and you enjoy fun, hands-on learning experiences, then you may be interested in spending five weeks at East Tennessee State University's Governor's School for the Scientific Exploration of Tennessee Heritage.

Now offering college credit, the Governor's Schools are more exciting and more intellectually relevant than ever before. Participation in the Governor's School for the Scientific Exploration of Tennessee History will give students an edge as they apply for college entrance, and entering the institution of higher learning of their choice with six hours of college credit will give them more flexibility in pursuing their educational program.

You will earn six hours of college credit with two college-level courses, History of Tennesse and Introduction to Archaeology.
