Students will learn about three components of Environmental Studies:

1. Environmental History
2. Issues and Problems
3. Tourism and Outdoor Recreation in East Tennessee

Students will hear talks from local scientists and activists, visit key ecological hotspots in the mountains, and help volunteers from around the country build a new section of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Be prepared for some vigorous hiking!
