East Tennessee

Have you ever wondered how your favorite musician sounded before he or she became nationally known? Sometimes long-lost archival recordings surface which can startle the listener with their bursts of youthful energy and raw musicianship.

If you're a fan of Tim Stafford, Adam Steffey, Barry Bales, and/or Beth Stevens, you may find their early music recorded while they were members of the ETSU Bluegrass Band a rare treat. Also heard are Jack Tottle and old-time fiddler and faculty member Richard Blaustein. Additional important contributions come from talented ETSU bluegrass alumni Glen Rose and bassist Bill Dunham.
