Center for Banking - Advisory Board

The Advisory Board for the Chair of Banking includes representatives of most of the banks in Upper East Tennessee, as well as several representatives from the University community. For the most part, Advisory Board members are their bank's chief executive officer or regional chief executive .

The Advisory Board meets periodically to provide the Chair of Banking and other University representatives with ideas to improve the banking curricula and Center for Banking programs. The Board also advises the University on qualifications and selection criteria for Chair candidates. Various members of the Advisory Board mentor students participating in internships at their banks and make presentations to banking classes.

Banks represented on the Advisory Board provide significant financial resources to the University in support of the activities of the chair. Each year, the Board sponsors a Chair of Banking golf tournament that raises funds for the support of banking student scholarships.
