Partner consultation meeting (Preparatory phase - USA) for development of exchange procedures (1st year 0-6 months)

- Develop system for transfer of credits between institutions
- Appointment of coordinators and outside advisors
- Establish baseline curriculum modules for on-line course & responsibilities
- Sign MOUs between partner institutions

On or before Month 6

Establish guidelines for each institutions’ language training and exchange procedures (1st year 0-6 months)

- Document outlining each institution’s language skills requirements, approved testing methods and other support activities for students (e.g. health, pre-departure, etc.)

Student recruitment and training (1st year 0-12 months)

- Each institution to develop an on-campus promotional activities including (but not limited to) speaking engagements, updating each institution’s websites, working with int’l officers on campus, etc.

Student Exchanges initiated (2nd year)

- Deploy  initial exchange students that were recruited early in the program (1-2 per institution)
- Pre-departure counselling
- Monitor student experience and learning through quantitative and qualitative techniques
- Exit interviews upon return from exchange

2nd Year: (12 months) April 1st, 2008 – March 31st, 2009

5 – Report Results

Partner consultation meeting Canada (2nd year 6-12 months)

- Review results of initial exchanges, establish best practices and modify program as necessary
- Review curriculum and adjust accordingly
- review recruitment #’s and formalize plans for year 3
- sign-off on annual report

2nd Year: (12 months) April 1st, 2008 – March 31st, 2009
