Mission:

The mission of the Department of Economics and Finance is:

    • To provide students with the high-quality educational experience that is
       necessary to succeed in a competitive global environment.

    • A commitment to excellence in the academic pillars of teaching, research,
      and service.

    • To cultivate an environment that stresses ethical values, leadership, and
      multidisciplinary participation in meeting the needs of business,
      government, and the community.

Purposes:

    • To provide students in the Finance and Economics BBA Program with the
      necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to enhance their career
      opportunities.

    • To provide the Economics BA students with the necessary knowledge,
      skills and abilities to enhance their career opportunities.

    • To have the faculty of the Department seek to advance knowledge in 
      economics and finance.

    • To have the faculty of the Department seek to provide support and
      leadership to our College and University, our profession, business, 
      government, and the community.
