Kappa Omicron Nu is a national honor society dedicated to recognizing and encouraging excellence in scholarship, research, and leadership in the field of Family and Consumer Sciences or other specializations regarding human well-being.
Focus for 2005-06 is on recognizing and enhancing cultural diversity, and promoting ethical practices within our profession. KON will co-sponsor the multi-cultural fashion show, assist with the Head-to-Toe project, and sponsor a panel of experts to speech to the importance of ethical considerations and practices for students throughout the college of Business and Technology.
Undergraduate students
- declared a major in family and consumer sciences or one of the specializations,
- completed 45 semester hours or equivalent,
- minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Rank in the top 25% of their class in the unit
Graduate students
- enrolled in a graduate program in family and consumer sciences or one of the specializations
- completed 12 semester hours of graduate work or equivalent
- minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
