Students enrolled in the dietetic internship will abide by the academic calendar of the University as found on the ETSU website.
Students who are matched by the computer matching process and admitted to the dietetic internship program will begin classes in the summer term, second session, and will be completed by the first week of May.
Classes will resume in fall semester, at which time internship rotations will also commence and continue through the week of final exams. The schedule for fall and spring semesters will include classes on campus each Monday with supervised practice rotations scheduled Tuesday through Friday each week. Interns will report to campus for the start of spring semester rotations on the Monday following the New Year's holiday, and will participate in rotations through the week of final exams. The week following commencement will be devoted to conducting exit interviews and evaluations with each intern, thus program completion is approximately May 9 each year. Holidays that occur during the DI rotations will be honored when feasible and in agreement with the preceptors' schedules. Please refer to the suggested schedule for specific courses that are offered each semester.
