In 1984 the TSBDC partnered with East Tennessee State University to become an integral part of the College of Business and Technology's business outreach. The TSBDC provides a broad range of services to assist the start-up entrepreneur and existing business and industry in the center's service region of Carter, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Johnson, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties.

For 30 years, the Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) network has been empowering small business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals with a business idea to innovate new products and services that compete in the global marketplace. Individuals just like you, perhaps searching for some unbiased business advice, seeking answers to business related questions, or looking for training courses to improve your workforce, will find the TSBDC is here to help you every step of the way!

We are a network of certified professional business counselors conveniently located in a community near you. We have 20 various locations; 14 of which are service centers, 5 are satellite offices, and 1 is an affiliate office. Our locations are staffed with local individuals from your community that pride themselves on monitoring the economic climate of their respective service areas and being an active part of their business communities.
