Required chemistry courses for the new ETSU School of Pharmacy are General
Chemistry lecture and lab CHEM 1110/1111 and CHEM 1120/1121 and
Organic Chemistry lecture and lab CHEM 2010/2011 and CHEM 2020/2021.
If you are a Chemistry major, additional courses are also required.
Things to be aware of:
The lecture and lab sections of General Chemistry (CHEM 1110/1111) and
(CHEM 1120/1121) must be taken together, no exceptions.
The lecture and laboratory sections of Quantitative Analysis (CHEM 2220/2221),
and Organic Chemistry (CHEM 2010/2011) and (CHEM 2020/2021) are independent
and may be taken separately; however, the lecture must be taken first.
Interest in Pre-Pharmacy has created a large demand for these courses. We are willing to work with you
in these courses. However, we may not be able to accommodate all requests for these courses
due to limited space and teaching resources. Please be aware that these courses are offered
each semester, including summer. Alternate scheduling may be necessary.
