All elementary and secondary MAT students must take certain PRAXIS
exams to obtain
state
licensure.
All required exams must be passed prior to student teaching! If you
do not
pass
the
required tests, you will not be eligible to student
teach until you have passed all
PRAXIS tests.
All MAT students are required take a
Praxis II test from the PRINCIPLES OF
LEARNING AND
TEACHING (PLT) group. Candidates
choose PLT P-4, K-6, 5-9, OR 7-12,
depending on the
grade
levels of initial licensure. (K-12 licensure
candidates may choose any of these.)
