Rita Leppert is a new member of the PBSI team. She holds a degree in secondary education/ biology from New Jersey City University, and is finishing master's degree in special education at East Tennessee State University. Rita worked with children diagnosed as having moderate/severe disabilities, and incorporated inclusion supports and positive behavioral strategies successfully with her students.
Rita is our project coordinator, and is responsible for providing school-wide training, consultation, and support to schools within the project service area. She provides guidance and feedback to school staff in an effort to improve the academic and behavioral expectations for students in the NE TN area. Rita also assists the Director, Co-investigator, and Associate Director in project development, implementation, evaluation, and school-wide activities.
