Master of Arts in Teaching
The Teacher Education with Multiple Levels (M.A.T.) program is designed for students who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in a field other than education and are not eligible for teacher licensure. The TEML program meets teacher licensure requirements at the graduate level in the state of Tennessee. The program duration is 4 full-time semesters with some concentrations requiring course work during a summer session. The program culminates with a semester of Student Teaching and a comprehensive oral exam (please see licensure track pages for further information on these requirements).
