Program Mission and Philosophy
Within the conceptual framework of the College of Education and the department of Curriculum and Instruction, the mission of the program is to prepare school library media specialists and educational technologists at the advanced level who will be:
•well educated in the knowledge base of the discipline;
•effective leaders and collaborators in their roles as information and technology specialists;
•reflective practitioners dedicated to fostering lifelong
learning in the education community, and in demand for employment
locally, regionally, and nationally.
