Permits for Block Courses
Students needing permits for the ISED K-6 Methods Block courses for
Spring 2006 may sign up in Room 401 Warf-Pickel, ONLY during the
following times:
Monday, October 3, 2005 – Friday, November 4, 2005
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Students may be permitted into the Methods Block Courses
ONLY if they have been admitted to teacher education, and
have completed ALL prerequisite courses (SPED 2300, MEDA 3570, HDAL
3310, READ 3000 and READ 3100). If you have any questions please

Admission Board Interviews
Admission Board Interviews for Interdisciplinary Studies in
Education (ISED) and Secondary Education for 2006 will be conducted
during the following weeks. Applications will need to be submitted to
Room E321 by 4:00 p.m. on the deadline date.
Week of October 10; Application Deadline: Thursday, September 29th
Week of November 7; Application Deadline: Thursday, October 27th
Week of February 5; Application Deadline: Thursday, January 26th
Week of March 13; Application Deadline: Thursday, February 23rd
Week of March 21; Application Deadline: Thursday, March 16th
For 2005, interviews will be held only during the weeks listed
above. You are responsible for scheduling your board interview at the
earliest possible date in order to complete your degree program in a
timely manner.
You are eligible to go before the board if you:
- Are an Interdisciplinary Studies in Education (elementary,
secondary, or K-12 majors)
- Have passing scores on the PPST (or ACT of at least 22, SAT of
920 or 1020 if taken since 4/95)
- Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA on general education
coursework
- Have completed at least 30 semester hours including: 6hrs
English, 8hrs Science, 3-4hrs Math, EDFN 2100 with a passing grade,
and EDFN 2300 with a grade of “C” or better.
