MAJOR
The
Human Services major is
essentially a counseling degree that
leads to hundreds of professional
positions in human service fields
such as
case
management, psychological treatment,
psychoeducation, child care, and
many others. Organizations title
their positions in a variety of ways
and are always looking for caring,
competent professionals to assist
people with their social and
personal issues. Many of these
companies pay for Master’s degrees
as graduates continue to gain skills
and knowledge in their career
development.
Students
in this major must complete a total
of 120 credit hours, which includes
University General Education
requirements and courses listed as
follows.
Students must also complete a minor
or an additional major which can be
chosen from any approved majors or
minors offered by ETSU. This is a
flexible program in which students
often find room to take several
electives that are of interest to
them. Those interested in more
