Connections. Commitment.
Community.
Children in grades kindergarten
through six must develop the basic competencies in
reading, writing, social studies, mathematics, and
the sciences to prepare them for more advanced
learning as they progress on the road to adulthood
and citizenship. Further, appreciation of the arts
and physical activities is fostered among children in
the elementary grades. The elementary grades teacher
has a wide range of competencies and develops a
life-long passion for learning in general and for
learning for professional growth in particular.
