An institute fee is generally charged to cover expenses for the facilitator and for program operations. This fee is separate from the elective tuition and allows us to bring you some of the finest and most diverse voices in storytelling as part of our annual lineup of guest instructors.
The Institute fee for one credit hour institutes is only $300 PER INSTITUTE for those NOT enrolling for university credit, or $150 per institute for those enrolling for university credit. Students registered for 6 credit hours or more during the semester of the Institute will receive an additional fee discount of only $100 per institute.

Please print and mail this form with your deposit by June 1 for Summer Session I and July 1 for Summer Session II. Tuition will be an additional expense and must be paid to the university. Those taking the institute for non-credit may register on site, but we prefer to know that you are coming in advance.
To reserve your space, a $50 non-refundable deposit is required PER INSTITUTE. (Make checks payable to ETSU STORYTELLING).

In order to secure a room or apartment with ETSU you need to fill out this reservation form and send it to Kathy Graves by USPS or as an email attachment. Be sure to mention that you are attending the ETSU Storytelling Institutes or short-term summer courses as the rates are different from summer long residents.
Motel lodging is considerably more expensive than campus housing. However, there are a number of apartments and rooms available in the area. Unfortunately, we do not have a current list for you, so you will need to explore off-campus housing on your own.
